ONE MONTH CHECKUP
February 26, 2010
Chloe was 6 lbs 5 oz, 20 1/4 inches long. Her head circumference was 33 3/4
Carter was 6 lbs 15 oz, 20 1/2 inches long. His head circumference was 34 1/2
** Both babies received a Hepatitis B immunization at the one month checkup.
1st RSV Shot
March 09, 2010
On Tuesday, March 9th: Both babies received their first RSV shot. They should get one more in April, and then the shots will begin again in October 2010. (October thru April is considered flu season). Michelle was the nurse that came to the house to administer the shots. Chloe held her breath for a bit, but both babies were soothed relatively easy. We had no side effects from the shots. No fever or runny nose. According to Michelle, these shots are $3,000 each!! They are mixed by the doctor and must be given within 6 hours. She said that most babies don't receive them, but that premature babies that are 33 weeks and 6 days and younger qualify for the shots. Because the twins were born 33 weeks and 5 days early, they qualify. Praise the Lord for added immunity and protection for these little ones!!

Dtap-IPV-Hib
Pneumo/3
Rotavirus
We gave them their first dose of .4ml tylenol, and they did fine. :)
FOUR MONTH CHECKUP

Chloe was 13 lbs 10 oz, 25 inches long. Her head circumference was 39 and ½.Carter was 15 lbs, 25 and 1/4 inches long. His head circumference was 41
They jumped 40% in length and weight. Pediatrician said they 'caught up' from being preemies.

They both ran a little fever with them, but because of their weight, they were able to get more tylenol - .8 ml :)
The doctor gave us the go-ahead on Rice Cereal. After trying that for a few weeks, we can move on to stage one fruits and vegetables!
